Soul food: Rest & Restore with Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is defined as “the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate relaxation and health.” – These are the words from my teacher Judith Hanson Lasater.
Restorative Yoga is about “Being” rather than “doing”
We will be using Yoga props like bolsters, blankets, blocks, and eye pillows/covers so that the body is entirely supported and to cultivate a quiet mind.
My teacher Lizzie Lasater likes to refer to Restorative Yoga as “Embodied Meditation”. It’s NOT sleeping, but rather we will be practicing intentional rest, and Pratyahara (the conscious withdrawal of the senses from the external world).
If you are ready to take some “me-time” for yourself…..if you feel like it’s time for you to take some time for YOU to be nurtured…..this is for you.

TWO sessions are on offer:
ONE is to attend in-person at my home yoga studio in Lilydale, and ONE is online by zoom.

Time for you to recharge, rejuvenate, and reconnect to yourself.
If you have not practiced restorative yoga or meditation before, you are welcome to get in touch first before you book in. This may not be suitable for those with current experience of depression and/or PTSD. There is a contact form below, for you to contact me, and then we can arrange to have a chat first.
In-person session:
Please BYO: Yoga mat, 1 blanket, and an eye-cover/eye-pillow/scarf
(Yoga bolsters and blocks will be provided for the in-person session)
Online session:
For the online session, you will need several blankets, an eye-cover/eye-pillow/scarf, several cushions and pillows, and a chair.
Date: Saturday 27th June, 2026
Time: Session 1 is In-person in Lilydale: 10am – 12pm
Time: Session 2 is Online by Zoom: 2pm – 4pm (AEST, Melbourne time)
Address for in-person session: Lilydale, close to Chirnside Park (full address is provided with booking) with street parking available.
For Online session: Please ensure you have zoom on your computer or tablet, and you are familiar with how zoom works.
